Get ready to embark on a horological treasure hunt
that will test your watch skills as well as your nerves!
As I am writing this, the whole WorldTempus editorial team is in a state of excitement. They are in full “meeting mode” trying to figure out the answers to some pretty cryptic questions from H. Moser & Cie.’s latest treasure hunt stunt. The brand’s treasure hunt is a fantastic idea to create an immersive experience with the brand’s fans and followers. It starts on their website, but then takes you on a spin of their difference channels in search of answers.
Today, two questions are being posted that need to be answered as quickly as possible. The good news is that you can try several times if you need to until you get the question right, but the clock is ticking. To win mulitple prizes, you need to record the fastest time. Two more clues will be posted on Friday 7th February 2025 and the last one on Wednesday 12th February 2025, adding to the suspense.
We are all watch lovers at WorldTempus, but even we are finding it hard. I have abandoned the challenge to relay the information to you, dear readers, in the hope that you can help! Any tips will be greatly appreciated as we are already struggling with clue 1.
The Treasure Hunt is a cool way to introduce the brand’s new campaign that sees fictional photographer Dante T. Eustis scouring different metropolises for sightings of rare H. Moser timepieces. A rather wonderful British male narrator gives the impression that you are following Sir David Attenborough into the jungle in search of butterflies. Eustis’s shutter stops on different models from the Streamliner collection spotted in the wild urban jungle in a fun and highly creative way.
If there is one brand that knows how to have fun, it is H. Moser. The Shenanigans all started in 2016 with the Swiss Alp Watch which was made as a tribute to the Apple Watch with its highly recognizable soft-edged rectangular case, but hosting a 100% Swiss mechanical manufacture movement. In 2017, came the Swiss Mad watch with a case made out of real cheese…. I kid you not. In 2018, H. Moser launched the Swiss Icons Watch which was a mashup of iconic models. This watch was unveiled on the Monday morning of the SIHH in 2018, but had already been removed by the Tuesday, not before everyone had had a good old laugh though! More recently, the brand revealed the Studio Underd0g Passion Fruit collaboration.
All of this is part of the spirit of the maverick brand to not take itself too seriously, and in an industry where tradition rules, their antics are refreshing. This treasure hunt is a brilliant way to connect to both current customers and watch enthusiasts the world over as they will need to navigate around the brand’s website and social media in the search of clues, hitting the like and follow buttons as they go.
So, what are you waiting for, why not Try Your Luck on the Treasure Hunt!
